High Flight Society was a rock band from Cedartown, Georgia active from 1998 to 2012.
The band was comprised of Jason Wilkes on lead vox and rhythm guitar, Michael Packer on lead guitar and backing vox, John Packer on bass and backing vox, and Scotty Lockridge on drums. The band toured extensively and released several records: From Far Above Somewhere (on Selectric) the eponymous High Flight Society (on Rocketown Records), Par Avion (independently released) and Lights Come Down (independently released). HFS was signed to Warner Brothers/Word Records in 2010, but were later dropped due to restructuring. Tragically, Lockridge died at age 31 in 2012 and the band went on permanent hiatus.
